Job Title: Business Development Manager

Hours: Flexible.

Based in North West London, Mash Purveyors is a fast-growing fresh produce supplier serving many of London’s most prestigious restaurants and hotels.

The production department includes preparation of high quality fruit & vegetables as well as producing a large selection of freshly squeezed juices.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1: Deliver Key Performance Targets as agreed by Head of Sales.

2: Build relationships with clients through a regular call cycle to present & up sell new products.

3: Analyse existing customer orders to determine new opportunities to increase spend- upselling of extra items.

4: Identify new business opportunities through research within your designated area by cold calling, market knowledge, 3rd party referrals, create a pipeline & review with line manager monthly

5: Prepare quotes & benchmarking analysis by collecting competitor pricing.

6: Identify customer problems and propose a comprehensive solution for their needs, whilst remaining logical and commercial to the Mash brand.

7: Maintain quality service by enforcing the standards and ethos of the Mash Brand.

8: Conduct regular analysis & provide feedback on the competitive environment and consumer trends

9: The ability to contribute to the overall sales team key performance targets.


Qualification/ Experience/Skills

1: Significant knowledge of the food industry, including fruit and vegetables.

2: Experienced in achieving significant cost savings, financial acumen in achieving margin growth

3: Proven Category Management and Supplier Relationship Management skills.

4: Experience within sales, both with existing clients and also generating new business leads

6: Experience of using a CRM tool such as salesforce is essential.

7: Experience of collaborative selling.

8: Strong communication & presentation skills are essential in the role
